SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s a scene an officer never hopes to encounter, but must always be prepared for.
The Turner County Sheriff’s Office held an active shooter training Wednesday at Viborg School in Viborg.
The Sheriff’s Office says that while the training is taken seriously, a great time was had with other participating departments and valuable lessons were learned.
Participating departments included Centerville Police, South Dakota Game, Fish, & Park officers, staff from the Viborg Hurley School District, and Turner County Emergency Management.
