Iowa woman arrested after speeding and blowing a .421.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A trooper with the Iowa State Patrol arrested a 21-year-old this week for speeding and drunk driving in Black Hawk County.
While it may seem like a routine traffic stop and arrest, this particular case was a bit more extreme.
According to a Twitter post by the Iowa State Patrol, the driver was initially pulled over for going 103 mph in a 65 mph zone.
A breathalyzer test was conducted during the investigation, in which the driver’s Blood Alcohol Content was determined to be .421, over five times higher than the legal limit of .08.
The driver told the trooper that she was attempting to make it home from a party.
The Iowa State Patrol is reminding drivers to avoid getting behind the wheel if you’ve been drinking, especially if you’re at the tail end of an all night (or day) bender.
