SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — One person was injured and one pet died as a result of a housefire in northeastern Sioux Falls.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 5210 E Madison St.
The first arriving fire company confirmed smoke coming from the home and declared a working structure fire.
The residents advised that everyone had exited the home. Crews worked to extinguish the main body of fire and verified there were no occupants.
The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes of SFFR’s arrival, and crews remained on scene for several hours to make sure the fire was completely extinguished.
