-Josh Naylor hit a two-run homer with two outs in the 10th inning, completing a four-run rally that gave the Cleveland Guardians a 7-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins. The teams have split four games in the five-game series, keeping the Twins’ lead over the second-place Guardians in the AL Central at two.
-LIV Golf’s first U.S. event is set to begin today, with a group of survivors and families who lost loved ones in the Sept. 11 terror attacks planning to gather at a nearby park to speak out against the Saudi Arabia-funded tour. The LIV Golf Invitational starts Thursday at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, about 20 miles west of downtown Portland
-Let the talking begin. Free agency officially opens today in the NBA, with teams able to begin negotiating at 6 p.m. with players who are not under contract – although, in reality, free agency and the slew of offseason movement is already off and running.
-The NFL and Deshaun Watson’s legal team presented their arguments before a disciplinary officer for a second day, with both sides holding firm as the hearing is scheduled to continue in Delaware today. Former U.S. District Judge Sue Robinson is tasked with determining whether Watson violated the NFL’s personal conduct policy and whether to impose discipline.
-The city of Denver will celebrate the Colorado Avalanche’s Stanley Cup title with a parade today through its downtown streets. It may be the last time many of these players assemble, with quite a few about to become unrestricted free agents.
-James Harden is taking less with hopes the Philadelphia 76ers can do more. A person familiar with the situation said Harden chose not to exercise his $47.4 million option for next season and will become a free agent — but with no designs on leaving Philadelphia. Harden made the decision to allow the 76ers the flexibility they need to sign other players this summer
