SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — When the South Dakota Legislature set up redistricting lines last year, there were several maps which would impact Moody County. Current Republican Representative, Tom Pischke of Dell Rapids, is now running for the District 25 Senate seat. He said the map that prevailed merged Moody County with Minnehaha County, which is news to some Moody County voters.
As the June primary approaches, Pischke says Moody County voters will see District 25 campaign signs going up in the county. He adds in Minnehaha County, the district primarily runs from 258th St (Renner) and north. Humboldt and a portion of northwest Sioux Falls are also included in District 25.
Early voting begins April 22nd. Pischke says voters can go to their courthouse for a ballot or contact their county auditor and request a ballot be mailed. The June primary is on June 7th.
