SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here’s what happened on the semi-mean streets of Sioux Falls over the weekend from Monday’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
SHOTS FIRED INDOORS AND OUTDOORS
Sioux Falls Police are investigating shots fired both indoors and outdoors over the weekend.
In the indoor case, someone fired shots in an apartment early Sunday morning.
Police say there are a lot of confusing stories to sort through.
No one was hurt.
In the outdoor shots fired, police found shell casings in the 800 block of West Bailey.
No one was hurt in that incident either.
IN TRUCK VERSUS PEDESTRIAN, PEDESTRIAN GETS CITED
Sioux Falls Police cite a pedestrian who was jaywalking–and hit by a pickup truck near 41st and Terry Friday night.
The injured man is 53 and from Sioux Falls.
He sustained injuries to his legs and was taken to the hospital.
Police did not give a citation to the pickup truck driver, a 19-year-old man from Canton.
IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE
It could have been a major blaze but fortunately, kids playing with matches in dry grass caused a grass fire that was quickly contained over the weekend.
Sioux Falls Police say the incident happened west of Farm Field Park near the bike trail.
The young fire bugs were not hurt.
