SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Canadian police serve formal warnings today to the freedom convoy, following PM Trudeau’s Emergencies Act.
Those in Ottawa refusing to go risk arrest, fines and jail time. These newly invoked powers deem blockades illegal. Consequences include towing, suspended licenses, prohibited travel, even frozen bank accounts.
While Trudeau acknowledged a right to peaceful protest, he said what’s happening must stop.
Two provincial premiers and 16 state governors – counting South Dakota and Iowa – appealed. They called on the Prime Minister and President to end vaccine mandates for cross-border truckers, essential to North America’s supply chain.
