SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — After the MLK Day holiday, the Sioux Falls Police held their first briefing of the week Tuesday.
ONCE AGAIN, SHOTS FIRED
Late last Monday NIGHT in the 16th and Lake area of Sioux Falls, there was another shots fired incident.
Sioux Falls Police say they found seven shell casings.
They said rounds struck a garage and a car.
There were no injuries.
Police are investigating.
ANOTHER BITCOIN SCAM
Sioux Falls Police are investigating another scam using Bitcoin.
They say scammers called a man Friday and said they were with the U.S. Marshals Service.
The fraudsters said the man was in legal trouble.
They told him to go to several Bitcoin kiosks in town.
He sent them $7,000 worth of Bitcoin then figured he was defrauded.
The police say Bitcoin scams are on the rise and to not bite when contacted.
FUNNY MONEY
Police are investigating two episodes of funny money.
Sioux Falls Police say someone successfully passed a fake $20 bill.
However, someone was able to spot a fake $100 bill.
