SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) – Members of the city council believe the Mayor should be the top paid city employee.
Council members Marshall Selberg and Greg Neitzert would like to update the city ordinances to set mayoral pay at $195,000 annually. Currently, the Mayor makes just over $130,000.
Selberg did note that raising the Mayor’s pay would also raise the pay of the City Council. The proposed change, if approved by the Council, will also need to be approved by the voters.
