PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota legislators will have to make decisions on how to spend almost $1 billion in additional federal funds.
Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls says there is agreement on some priorities.
Nesiba, a member of the Joint Committee on Appropriations, says he would like to see some of those funds focused on conservation.
There is some concern there will be a fiscal cliff when the federal Covid related payments end.
Nesiba says legislators have discussed that eventuality.
