SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Mayor Paul TenHaken announced this morning that Sioux Falls has surpassed $1 billion in building permits issued this year. The Mayor says a key to the historic growth is a pro-business approach and guiding philosophy of “keep Sioux Falls investible.” He says that means the right policies, the right programs, the right incentives that makes sure businesses want to spend money here, that they want to build here and that people want to move here.
The mayor acknowledged that this kind of growth can also come with challenges to infrastructure and housing demands, but that those challenges receive attention from his administration. He says that’s the kind of balance you’ll find in this administration.
