Mike Rounds with wife Jean Rounds
YANKTON, S.D. (KELO.com) — Less than a week after the death of former South Dakota Governor Frank Farrar, the state’s gubernatorial community is shocked again with the passing of former First Lady Jean Rounds on Tuesday.
Rounds was the wife of 31st governor and current U.S. Senator Mike Rounds.
Former South Dakota Lieutenant Governor Matt Michels also made a touching tribute to Jean, who lost her battle with cancer.
Michels says that Jean was known for her grace.
Rounds died Tuesday morning following a two-year battle with sarcoma cancer.
