SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Lincoln County, South Dakota had the fourth-fastest percentage growth of housing units in the nation between 2010 and 2020.
That’s according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
The bureau says the county that contains a portion of Sioux Falls saw a nearly 47% increase in housing units during that decade.
There were 26,227 housing units in Lincoln County in 2020. That’s 8,352 more units than in 2010.
Hays County, Texas in the Austin area had the highest increase at over 57%.
