SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An investigation conducted by the Sioux Falls Police Department ends in the arrest of a man accused of sexually abusing a minor.
The investigation began on August 30th when a 14-year-old girl notified authorities in her Minnesota home town of abuse by her grandparent’s neighbor in Sioux Falls.
The victim says the abuse occurred several times during a six year span.
75-year-old George Wright is facing two counts of Sexual Contact with a Child Under 16, Indecent Exposure Involving a Child, and Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
A warrant for Wright’s arrest was issued Thursday, and he was arrested a short time later by the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say there may be other victims that have been abused by Wright, and anyone with information is encouraged to come forward.
