Sioux Falls passes budget for 2022 including American Rescue Plan funded projects

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com)  – The American Rescue Plan funds were front and center tonight during the consideration of the annual budget for the city of Sioux Falls.

Multiple amendments to the city budget used the funds for 1-time projects ranging from housing development, youth enrichment, and parks projects. The projects are all included in the Sioux Falls for All Strategic Plan

All the amendments involving the 1-time spending received unanimous support.

The city’s $654 million budget for 2022 was passed 8-0.
