SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The name of the pedestrian, who was recently killed near Harrisburg, has been released.
24-year-old Bret Butcher from Anchorage, Alaska, passed away late Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle.
Authorities say Butcher was walking south in the northbound lane of traffic on Highway 115, just east of Harrisburg, when he was struck by a vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who struck Butcher was not injured in the accident, and is not facing any charges.
