PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Department of Health says that most of the state–including Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties–is considered in the “high” status in terms of community spread.
There are 675 active cases in Minnehaha County.
It has a weekly test positivity rate of nearly 19%.
Lincoln County has 200 active cases.
Its test positivity rate is over 12%.
Also, the New York Times reports that South Dakota’s hospitalization rate is still the highest in the nation.
However, the percentage of increase has dropped 20%.
