SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A teen wanted for murder in Minnesota is now in custody.
Thursday, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and the Sioux Falls Police SWAT team arrested Miguel Nunez, Jr., 18, in the attic of a home in the 3400 block of North 6th Avenue.
Nunez was wanted on a warrant for second degree murder.
The apprehension took place without incident.

On 07/08/2021, Minnehaha County Warrant Deputies located Miguel Nunez Jr (age 18) hiding in a home’s attic in the 3400 block of N. 6th Ave in Sioux Falls. Nunez has an active arrest warrant out of Mower County MN for 2nd degree murder and had previously fled from deputies approximately one month ago. The Sioux Falls Police Department was called to assist, and after a joint effort between the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office and Sioux Falls Police Department SWAT Team, Nunez was arrested peacefully and without incident.
