SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It was an eventful evening yesterday for Sioux Falls Police.
Here are the highlights from Tuesday’s police briefing.
STOLEN TRUCK LEADS TO METH DEALER ARREST
A Sioux Falls Police detective saw a vehicle that was stolen on June 8th from an auto repair shop.
The detective followed the vehicle into an auto parts store parking lot.
Two male occupants fled inside the store when they noticed a vehicle following them, leaving a female passenger inside the vehicle.
Officers approached Carly Bruhn, 24, Sioux Falls, and arrested her for resisting arrest, providing a false name to police, and for a parole violation.
Police then entered the store to arrest the male subjects.
Mark Olson, 34, of Sioux Falls had a gun with the serial number scratched off, and 32 grams of meth in his possession.
He was charged with possession and distribution of meth, possession of a firearm by a former drug offender, committing a felony with a firearm, and posession of a stolen vehicle.
The last subject, 31-year-old Tyler Olson, of Sioux Falls was arrested for possession of meth, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
GUN FLASHED IN ROAD RAGE INCIDENT
Sioux Falls Police say that a road rage incident led to a subject flashing a gun at another driver.
Police say they have a description of the vehicle driven by the suspect, but have made no arrests yet.
CAR BREAK IN LEADS TO CHECK FRAUD
Three Sioux Falls residents are behind bars after breaking into a vehicle, and trying to cash stolen checks.
Tasha Keeler, 41, from Sioux Falls, entered an unlocked vehicle, stole an ID and check blanks, and then forged a check using the name on the stolen ID.
A bank employee was suspicious when Keeler tried cashing the check, and notified police.
Keeler was arrested for stolen property, forgery, and meth, with two other occupants of the vehicle charged with possession of meth.
LEWD PARKGOERS GET INTERRUPTED BY POLICE
Sioux Falls Police prevented two people from enjoying their afternoon in a poorly chosen location.
Officers were called to Cherry Rock Park after two people were spotted having sex at the park.
The park was very busy due to youth baseball games taking place at that time.
The two love birds were arrested for indecent exposure and public indecency.
