SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Police have been busy. Again.
POLICE LOOKING FOR WHITE JEEP IN INJURY HIT-AND-RUN
Sioux Falls Police need your help locating a newer model white Jeep Cherokee or Compass involved in a hit-and-run accident Saturday morning.
Witnesses say the Jeep turned from 22nd Street onto Minnesota Avenue and hit a bicyclist traveling west on 22nd Street with the light.
Witnesses also say they saw the Jeep stop briefly after hitting the 60-year-old woman on the bike, then took off.
The woman was wearing a helmet but was unconscious at the scene.
She went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Police ask you to call them or Crimestoppers if you have information about the white Jeep.
SUSPECTED BURGLAR, CAR THIEF IN JAIL
A Sioux Falls man is in jail on numerous grand theft, burglary, and other charges.
Police suspect Daren Michael Bagola, 19, in several break-ins and car thefts at businesses on 12th Street between April and June.
A grand jury indicted Bagola last week.
A Sioux Falls Police officer spotted Bagola at a convenience store in the 4300 block of East 12th Street late Saturday night and arrested him on the indictment and other warrants.
Bagola is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond.
MAN BASICALLY CALLS 9-1-1 ON HIMSELF
A man walks into a Sioux Falls bar Monday night.
He asked to use the phone, then called 911.
An officer showed up, and the man who walked into the bar got into a tussle with the officer.
The officer tased the man, but the man still kicked him and tried to take the cop’s taser.
Elwood Joseph Dwyer, Jr., 52, from Sioux Falls, is now in jail after calling the police.
He’s charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and public disturbance.
AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS CONTINUE
The thefts of catalytic converters in Sioux Falls have not stopped.
Sioux Falls Police report several converters stolen across the city.
However, there were some reports of stolen converters in the northeast part of Sioux Falls.
