SF City Council passes motion to require registration for outdoor murals

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) —  Tuesday evening in an unanimous vote the city council passed an ordinance that puts the city’s Director of Planning and Development Services Jeff Eckhoff  in charge of approving applications for the art form.

The ordinance also makes clear what would be considered art or advertisement-the latter which murals can’t be used for. It will also require registration and approval by the city.

The proposal passed 8-0.
