SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here’s Thursday’s report on crimes from the Sioux Falls Police daily briefing.
FINALLY, SOME LEADS ON CONVERTER THEFTS
Sioux Falls Police no new reports of stolen catalytic converters.
They say detectives are looking into the thefts and have some leads to go on.
Officer Sam Clemens says they’re not sure if it is one thief or a number of thieves who are cutting off converters from vehicles.
THIEVES STILL STEALING PACKAGES FROM DOORSTEPS
Even though we’re months past Christmas, Sioux Falls thieves are still busy stealing packages from front steps and mailboxes.
Sioux Falls Police say they’ve received reports of pinched packages.
They say the thefts happen year-round, not just during the holidays.
Officer Sam Clemen says stay home if you know a package is coming, make pick up arrangements, or have a neighbor pick it up for you.
ONCE AGAIN, MORE SHOTS FIRED
Sioux Falls Police are investigating another incident of shots fired.
There was a report of two gunshots reported about 10:30 last night in the 200 block of South Elmwood Avenue.
Witnesses say someone pulled into a driveway and fired off the two rounds.
Police say the incident was captured on a security camera.
No one was injured.
