SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The people have chosen their favorite piece in Sioux Falls’ annual SculptureWalk.
“Jake On Bass,” a bronze statue of a dog playing upright bass was the 2020 winner of the People’s Choice Award. Hartford, South Dakota artist Scott Schlag sculpted the artwork.
The vote means the City of Sioux Falls will buy the sculpture and add it to its permanent collection.
“I am very honored to be chosen for the People’s Choice Award from among so many great artistic sculptures in SculptureWalk 2020,” Schlag said in a release. “This year has certainly been difficult and challenging for most people, I hope my buddy Jake gave people some smiles and put joy in their hearts.”
