PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Division of Criminal Investigation Director David Natvig today announced
that the shooting death of George Ludrou Job, 29, of Fargo, North Dakota on October 16, of this year in Sioux
Falls has been classified as a suicide.
The Division of Criminal Investigation, assisted by the Sioux Falls Police Department and the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation at the request of the Sioux Falls Police Department.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 11:15 pm on October 16, 2020. Sioux Falls Police Officers
responded to a 911 call regarding man acting erratically and refusing to leave an apartment
complex. Upon the officer’s arrival at the scene, Job drew a pistol from his waistband and fired at
one of the responding officers, striking the officer in the foot and shoulder. A second officer
approached the building at which point Job fired upon the officer. The second officer returned
fire.
Following the arrival of backup officers, authorities entered the building to find Job deceased in
the hallway as the result of a self-inflicted gunshot to the head, a fact subsequently confirmed
by an autopsy.
