SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- A state prison inmate has died.
Inmate Rodger Martin, age 69, passed away November 21 in a comfort care setting at the Jameson Annex to the South Dakota State Penitentiary in Sioux Falls of natural causes. The comfort care setting allows inmates to receive palliative care within the correctional environment while providing respect and dignity during the end-of-life experience.
Martin was serving a 7-year, 9-month sentence from Minnehaha County for attempted second-degree rape.
