SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The cornstalk that wouldn’t die has a new home, planted outside Sioux Falls City Hall.
Chad Theisen and his family rescued the city’s most famous plant after it had been uprooted from its concrete crack at 57th and Minnesota.
They nursed it back to life in a bucket and now it has a more permanent home at City Hall. Don’t know what will happen when winter comes, we’ll cross that cornstalk when we come to it.
Mayor Paul TenHaken tweets that “the corniest story of the year lives on.”
