SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure – 50th Street
Beginning on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, utility work will be performed on the north side of West 50th Street between Western Avenue and West Avenue. Traffic will be shifted to the south side of 50th Street. Traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times.
This work is anticipated to be complete in one day.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider an alternate route.
Street Closure – 50th Street
Beginning on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, West 50th Street will be closed to thru traffic from Western Avenue to the entrance of Schempp Heating & A/C building to allow contractors to perform underground utility repairs.
This work is anticipated to be complete in approximately four weeks.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – Sixth Street
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, work will begin for installing underground electrical facilities for the Whittier Neighborhood Electrical Improvements along the eastbound lane of the intersection of Cliff Avenue and Sixth Street.
Traffic will be shifted to the north to allow work along the south boulevard between Cliff Avenue to Van Eps Avenue. Traffic will remain open for eastbound and westbound traffic, however, the left turn lane will be closed for westbound traffic.
This work is anticipated to be complete within one working day.
