SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The virtual ‘Shine The Light On Hunger’ fundraiser in Sioux Falls for Feeding South Dakota raised enough for more than 150,000 meals.
Local band Kory and the Fireflies rocked from the top of the HenkinSchultz building in downtown Wednesday night. The fundraiser was carried ‘Live’ on Facebook.
Mayor Paul TenHaken and many other VIPS joined the fun.
The HenkinShultz building was lit up like a million candles.
“We’re very happy with the outpouring of support and we continue to do everything possible to serve our hungry every day – and through every crisis,” says Jennifer Stensaas, Communications Coordinator, Feeding South Dakota.
The event was organized by HenkinSchultz, Pinnacle Productions, and Light Up Sioux Falls.
