SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Thanks to the pandemic panic, a plethora of people went hog-wild on their toilet paper shopping weeks ago, resulting in a nationwide shortage.
A visit to the Hyvee on Louise Avenue earlier in the week showed an empty toilet paper and paper towel shelf.
A call to that store late this morning reveals that there is no toilet paper in stock right now and that they receive shipments of toilet paper every single day.
So the key to finding toilet paper may be to pick a store and find out what time their delivery truck comes in.
Remember that while there are various substitutes for toilet paper…none of them…not even the so-called “flushable” wipes should be flushed down the toilet because none of them break down like toilet paper does.
All of those items, including facial tissues, can cause sewer backup and problems at your local sewage treatment facility and that could lead to other public health problems.
By the way, here’s an idea for app developers: design an app that shows where toilet paper is currently available around the country.
You’re welcome.
Oh, by the way, I checked on that, and I don’t see an Android app for that, but there is an app called “Where Is Public Toilet”.
Hopefully, such an outlet does have toilet paper!
Just don’t steal it.
You may also want to check the “little free libraries” around town to see if there is any toilet paper inside.
That occurrence is trending nationally.
