PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem signed a bill allowing concealed carry of pistols on motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles, her office announced Wednesday.
House Bill 1094 cleans up language in existing laws to line up with the “constitutional carry” bill lawmakers passed last legislative session. It repeals two restrictions that applied specifically to those vehicles.
ABATE of South Dakota, a motorcycle advocacy group, supported the bill.
HB 1094 was one of seven gun-related bills the governor signed Wednesday. They included a bill allowing minors to possess a pistol under certain circumstances, like when at home or taking a gun safety course, and a bill giving counties the option to allow guns in courthouses.
