PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Twenty-nine high priority Covid-19 tests were administered in South Dakota on Friday, and all 29 came back negative, so the state still stands at 14 cases and 1 death.
The state is only processing high priority cases at this time.
The state follows CDC guidelines to determine who is a high priority: hospital employees; people in nursing homes or similar facilities; and if someone is already in the hospital and starts to show symptoms.
Lower priority cases are being sent to out of state labs, which take 4 to 5 days to process.
