St. LOUIS PARK, MN (KFGO) – A rally for Minnesota senator and presidential hopeful Amy Klobuchar was canceled Sunday night after protesters took over the stage.
A campaign official said Klobuchar offered the protest group a meeting, but after initially agreeing they backed out.
The group of demonstrators was made up of activists calling on the courts to overturn the 2002 murder conviction of Myon Burrell, a case that began when Klobuchar was Hennepin County Attorney.
