SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here’s the latest crime news from today’s Sioux Falls Police briefing.
- MAN SPOOKS WOMAN, GRABS HER COAT
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman late last night (Thursday) near Burnside and Western.
The man, described as a 5-foot 6-inch black man, first approached the woman and chatted with her.
He then propositioned her to go to an apartment on Elmwood.
The woman got spooked and took off running.
The suspect grabbed her coat.
She got away and ran into a business where the clerk called the police.
The woman is unharmed.
- ANGELA ARMSTRONG IS STILL MISSING
Sioux Falls Police say a Sioux Falls woman remains missing.
Angela Armstrong was driving a dark gray Chevy Traverse.

- NO BIG UPTICK IN CRIME
Police spokesman Sam Clemens does not think there has been an uptick in crime.
He says there’s usually a bit of an uptick as summer begins but doesn’t yet seem to be the case.
The coronavirus may also be having an impact.
He says crime statistics appear consistent this year from last year.
