WASHINGTON, D.C. (KELO.com) — Senator Mike Rounds thinks President Trump was just trying to make a point when he suggested that maybe the November election should be delayed.
The point being that mail-in voting is subject to abuse. Senator Rounds likes the way South Dakota does it:
“….By having a copy, a picture copy of your photo i-d that you could send in or email in, either way.”
Rounds says he doesn’t want the November election delayed and neither does anybody else.
The other members of South Dakota’s congressional delegation are also pushing back on any talk of delaying the election.
Congressman Dusty Johnson tweets that it could jeopardize the integrity of the election. Senator John Thune tells reporters that since about 1788 there have been November elections and he expects they’ll be an election again this November.
