SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The McCrossan Boys Ranch is effectively closed off to the public because of an outbreak of the coronavirus.
Ranch Executive Director Brian Rogiers says they are using quarantine for those affected as instructed by the South Dakota State Health Department. The Ranch is also doing additional mitigation efforts to limit the spread.
“There have been no hospitalizations and affected boys have been either asymptomatic or have experienced minimal symptoms and are feeling better within a day or two,” says Rogiers.
He thanks those who are praying for the Ranch.
“The health and welfare of our boys and staff are priority one.”
State health officials say less than 15 people at the Ranch have the disease, and that mass testing will be used in the coming days.
