SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Sioux Falls homeowner puts up a ‘White Lives Matter’ yard sign. A small crowd gathers outside, demanding it be taken down.
“They said once the sign was down they would all leave. He said he’d take the sign down when they left. Obviously we had a kind of stalemate going on,” says Police Spokesman Sam Clemens.
A police officer, acting as a mediator, eventually removes the sign, and peace returns to the 1900 block of East 12th Street.
Clemens says the full message on the sign was: “White Lives Matter, if you come onto my lawn, yours won’t.”
