YANKTON, (S.D.) (KELO.com) — More changes ahead for Mount Marty College.
At a news conference this morning, President Marc Long referred to a speech given by Mount Marty Founder, Mother Jerome Schmitt on the mission of the school.
Long says they have seen a lot of positive momentum in the past few years.
He says later this summer, the college will have a new name–Mount Marty University.
Long says the name reflects their evolving academic offerings including doctorate programs. The school last year added football to their sports with the first kickoff scheduled for the fall of 2021.
