SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls City Council has voted unanimously to remove the limit on yard signs. You can now have as many as you want.
And Councilor Greg Neitzert says its just not political signs, although that has been at the center of the debate.
“As an example, in my neighborhood, I have a neighbor who has a sign that says ‘proud parent of a future U.S. marine.”
Used to be you could have no more than two yard signs. Now, there is no limit on non-commercial signs.
Councilor Janet Brekke says she’s hoping that at the end of the day, political candidates and the public will run campaigns in a way to help manage “the clutter.”
