SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — As they investigate the abduction and death of a young woman, Sioux Falls police are warning the public to be careful getting in and out of vehicles.
The victim was last seen getting into a vehicle after leaving a business near Arrowhead Parkway.
Lt. Terence Matia says people need to be aware of their surroundings.
“If someone approaches you and attempts to coerce you into doing something that just doesn’t feel right, then you gotta report that to law enforcement.”
What’s more, Lt. Matia is concerned that the person of interest in the case may have tried something like this before.
“..Potentially could have tried this some other time, so if there is someone out there with other information, where they recognize his photo or recognize that he may have done this on a previous occasion, please call us…”
The person of interest now in custody on unrelated warrants is Amir Hasan Beaudion Jr., 19. He has not yet been charged in the abduction or the death of 20-year-old Pasqalina Esen Badi.
