SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A downtown Sioux Falls book store was egged twice over the weekend, and the owners think it’s because of the transgender rights flag flying out in front.
The Full Circle Book Co-op posted some of the co-owners comments on Facebook, after Sunday’s egging, that followed eggs on Saturday.
“Oh, just another 25 eggs or so this morning on Sunday…..we’re not going to take it down,” referring to the pink and blue flag they believe was the lightning rod for vandalism.
The flag has only been up about a week, in opposition to some transgender bills in the 2020 State Legislature.
Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken took to Twitter to descry the egg attacks.
“This sort of vandalism won’t be tolerated in our city. Our community spirit is better than this and we won’t let a few bad actors change that.”
