SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sen. John Thune suggested President Donald Trump should stick to his record on Fox News Wednesday.
Thune was on Fox News to talk about how Trump criticized prosecutors’ recommendations for the sentencing of former Trump adviser Roger Stone.
“It’s not uncommon for this president, as he has on so many other issues, to weigh in and speak his mind,” Thune said. “My hope would be that as we move forward we focus on his agenda.”
Host Neil Cavuto provided a sort of translation toward the interview’s end.
“That sounds like a very polite, gentlemanly way of kindly advising the president to be quiet,” Cavuto said, drawing a chuckle from Thune.
“We do what we can, Neil,” Thune replied.
The interview ended there.
