SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Elected Republican leaders in South Dakota liked what they heard from President Donald Trump in his State of the Union Message.
“I share the President’s optimism about the opportunities that lie ahead that America’s brightest days are yet to come,” says Senator John Thune.
Senator Mike Rounds says the President laid out a vision for the future that is “pro-growth, pro-family, pro-life, and pro-security.”
Congressman Dusty Johnson says Trump is at his best when he focuses on the strengths of America.
“Republicans talk about what’s wrong with the Democrats. The Democrats talk about what’s wrong with the Republicans,” Johnson tells Kelo Radio’s Greg Belfrage Show, “But last night, the President wasn’t talking about what was wrong about anybody. He was talking about what was right with America.”
Governor Kristi Noem also liked what she heard.
“…President Trump delivered a strong and inspiring message to the American People. Our country is strong and our President is laser-focused on creating a better future for businesses and families.”
