SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be sitting right over the President’s shoulder Tuesday night, but Senator John Thune hopes he avoids talking about impeachment.
“You know, forget this business, ignore the rabid Democrats who started this and who have been out to get him from the very beginning. Rise above and just talk about the things you are going to do for the good of the country.”
Senator Thune tells Fox News that Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address should focus on his many accomplishments and what comes next.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem agrees with Thune.
“I think a unifying message would be incredibly helpful. I know that the President has been told that that would be a great message for our country to hear right now.”
Noem tells Kelo Radio’s It’s Your Business Show with Bill Zortman that it’s always good to remind people about the good work you’ve done, but she also wants Trump to “cast a vision” about where we are going.
