DES MOINES, IA. (KELO.com) — Chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party, Troy Rice, has apologized for the unprecedented delay in results from the Presidential Caucuses.
“The reporting of the results and circumstances surrounding the 2020 Iowa Democratic Party Caucuses were unacceptable. As chair of the party, I apologize deeply.”
Rice says a “coding error” in the reporting app was what caused the long delay, but he wants to assure everyone that the results are accurate.
Soon after Rice’s news conference in Des Moines on Tuesday, the party released 62 percent of the results.
