SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It was a busy daily police briefing from the files of the Sioux Falls Police today.
- GIVE A GUY A LIFT, GET YOUR KEYS STOLEN
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a man who the victim says took his car keys while giving him a ride.
A guy gives the suspect a ride in his car.
While they were driving, the bad guy took the keys from the ignition, threatened the driver with a knife, and then ran off.
The driver was not hurt.
- A HALLWAY STICKUP
Sioux Falls Police are looking to three men after a stickup in an apartment hallway Friday evening.
The victim says three black men approached him at his apartment on the 1600 block of South Rock Creek.
Two of them had guns.
The suspects took the guy’s wallet and cell phone.
He was not hurt.
- SHOTS FIRED NEAR SOUTH WALMART
A Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania man is in jail after being arrested for being drunk and in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property.
Sioux Falls Police say two women outside the Walmart on South Minnesota Ave. late Saturday night said James Alan Miller, 37, was following them.
Police say the women then decided to follow Miller, who ended up at a strip mall near the Walmart.
The women said they then heard two gunshots.
Police recovered two shell casings.
No one was hurt.
- TWO VEHICLE FIRES WITHIN MINUTES AND BLOCKS OF EACH OTHER
Two vehicles were set on fire within blocks and minutes of each other Saturday evening in Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Police are investigating fires set in cars in the 700 and 800 blocks of 12th Street.
Witnesses said they saw a Native American man walking away from the first fire.
No one was hurt.
- THAT’S A BAD WAKEUP CALL!
Sioux Falls Police are investigating a robbery with two sets of potential suspects that occurred early Sunday morning at the Microtel Inn on South Carolyn Avenue.
Police say two guys met some people and invited them to their room.
The two guys passed out.
When they awoke, they said they saw two different people threatening them with a hammer and a crowbar.
The robbers took their wallets and cell phones.
No one was hurt.
