SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) –Friday night at about 11:30, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to Orwin 1921 W. Orwin Place for a report of a structure fire.
Units arrived on scene to discover a mobile home with smoke and fire present in the front half of the structure.
Sioux Falls Fire personnel extinguished the fire in approximately 5 minutes and conducted a search of the structure to ensure there were no occupants.
There were no civilian or responder injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
Four fire trucks, 3 support vehicles, and 18 personnel responded.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Patient Care EMS, the Sioux Falls Police Department, Xcel Energy, MidAmerican Energy, and the Red Cross.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue would like to remind residents to check their smoke detectors for proper functioning and practice home escape plans.
