PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Governor Kristi Noem is asking South Dakotans to be alert Monday for additional state guidelines regarding the spreading COVID-19 virus.
She issued the request during a Facebook live Saturday.
“We’re going to have some directions for the state of South Dakota,” Noem said. “I want you to be paying attention to that because it’s going to be incredibly important that you are listing and we are all on the same page for actions in the coming weeks.”
The Governor offered a couple of hints.
“Especially as it relates to those who are elderly or have some compromised health conditions, and beyond, specific targeted areas,” Noem said. “We all know communities that are struggling.”
As of noon Sunday there are 240 positive COVID-19 infections statewide, resulting in 22 hospitalizations, two deaths with a third awaiting confirmation, 84 recovered and 5,353 testing negative.
