PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Department of Transportation is getting its supplies and snowplows ready for winter.
Tony Ondricek, an engineer with the department in Pierre updated the Transportation Commission this week on their winter plans, first touching on the snow moving budget.
Ondricek says they watch their equipment carefully. He says they have a lot of trucks ready to mount plows.
Ondricek says normal plowing hours during a winter storm are 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
