PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Governor Kristi Noem took to Twitter this afternoon and expressed her support of President Donald Trump in the U.S. House’s likely impeachment investigation of the President over Ukraine.
- If @SpeakerPelosi and her caucus spent as much time on legislation as this investigation, they might have passed #USMCA by now. They might have done a lot of good things that South Dakotans need from DC. The 2016 election is over. @realDonaldTrump is president. He has my support.
Noem served in the U.S. House prior to becoming governor in 2018. She supports passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement still pending in Congress.
In 2015, she originally opposed the nomination of Trump as the Republican Presidential nominee. She told WNAX that Trump was “not her kind of Republican.”
Last September 7, Trump came to Sioux Falls and held a fundraising event for her at the Convention Center.
