RAPID CITY, SD, (KELO.com)– A Rapid City middle school student is in trouble for bringing a BB gun to school on Friday.
The school received a tip and police found the realistic-looking gun during the search.
Rapid City Police Department Juvenile Operations Sergeant Tim Doyle says the student will be given appropriate punishment for bringing the weapon onto school grounds.
He says the situation was dealt with “swiftly and effectively.”
Doyle wants students to know not to hesitate to report something if they see it.
